A downloadable something or whatever for Windows and Android
the museum of precariously placed exhibits
a virtual reality "something or whatever"
by michael "gb_camera" d. / project 2 for cdm 176 (VR) winter 2024
the museum of precariously placed exhibits is a short experience/prototype wherein you, the player, can explore and subsequently destroy a small and strange art-like exhibition of numerous physics-type objects and structures. how long you choose to appreciate the fine/weird works on display here is really up to you, but you should probably go to town at some point because that's what i made the darn thing for in the first place.
features the following:
- interactive sounds
- public service announcements
- a nice city sunset through glass
- jeffery the wide skeleton
- a baseball bat (this fulfills my baseball minigame quota)
- all in stunning Virtual Reality Vision! (only tested on meta quest 2 and steamvr-compatible lighthouse headsets/controllers)
controls (for those whose controllers have at least thumbsticks and some kind of grip):
- left stick to move. this is a continuous movement household.
- right stick to turn. this is a smooth turning household.
- grip/grab to... grab stuff. who'd've thunk.
- throw to throw

Install instructions
quest users: download the .apk and sideload it to your device via your preferred method. i think there's only one method though and it's probably sidequest.
pcvr users: download the .zip, extract it somewhere where you won't mind it, and just launch the executable. you've got it easy.
